Aviation, what a lovely thing it is... For some.
Some people board an airlinier with the idea of getting to their destination quickly and comfortably, some other with a tad of fear hoping not to have an issue in flight, but I, board the plane with a huge smile. Some people look at me and laugh, some others give me weird looks, but I don't even care. I'm stepping on to my future, my daily dream. Every time I ask a flight attendant to check if the captain doesn't mind me hopping to the cockpit for a chat, and I hear the "Yes" behind the cockpit door, I'm the happiest teen there will ever be.
The plane starts it's descent, approach, and then I hear that marvellous sound:
That indicates the beginning of the fun, the start of the approach: The Auto-Pilot Disconnection. From now onwards since you heard that sound, you should know that the aircraft is being flown by humans, and they, as much as I'd do, are enjoying it.
To be honest, I don't know how or why I got to this point, and why couldn't I choose some other cheaper passion, but here I am, hoping to become an Airline Pilot. Right now, I couldn't think of doing anything else but flying, no teaching, no managing, just flying.
Life is life, and right now, I'm focusing on outstanding grades and basically, preparing for what's to come. The almighty "Dad, I want to be a pilot" phrase has already popped up in my family, so they're ready for what's coming, I hope.
